The Honu Alahele Homeowner’s Association Board of Directors is responsible for maintaining an attractive, safe, and friendly neighborhood. Some of the Board’s responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining the Honu Alahele neighborhood park.
  • Maintaining drainage basins and drainage channels.
  • Maintaining fences and hedges along Kenolio Road.
  • Maintaining the “Turtle Wall” mural at the Kenolio Road entrance.
  • Securing insurance for common areas.
  • Accounting for income and expenses.

A four-digit code is required to access the Honu Alahele neighborhood park. Access is restricted to owners and tenants. If you are an owner in need of the code, please contact us. If you are a tenant, please contact your landlord.

Maui County Code 10.48.110 prohibits overnight parking for more than one hour between the hours of 2:00 am-6:00 am. The police have the authority to issue tickets and/or tow away vehicles that are not in compliance. Please help reduce the nuisance of excessive street parking along our Honu Alahele neighborhood streets.

No. Short-term rentals for a rental period of less than 180 days are strictly prohibited by the CC&Rs (Article 12.c).

Our CC&Rs (Article 12.c) do not allow any commercial activity within the Honu Alahele neighborhood. Home offices are allowed.

Each lot is allowed no more than three domestic animals.

Feral chickens are not welcome in our neighborhood. They are noisy, messy, and destroy landscaping. Furthermore, the state of Hawaii has deemed feral chickens to be a nuisance and public health risk. To keep our neighborhood attractive and safe, please do not feed the feral chickens.

Owners are required to advise the Board of Directors and submit an Architectural Review Application for New Construction or Addition for any construction activity, including exterior house painting, major landscaping changes, fencing, and concrete work.
